2014

Off the Grid-Doin’ It Dylan is released. The album is a tribute to Bob Dylan who had a huge impact on CD’s career in his early days as a struggling Nashville musician when he performed on three Dylan albums.

Charlie is profiled by Dan Rather on "The Big Interview With Dan Rather" on AXS TV..

Off the Grid-Doin’ It Dylan is released on vinyl, the first CDB vinyl in 25 years.

Charlie and manager David Corlew found The Journey Home Project, an organization dedicated to helping veterans.


2015

"Dylan, Cash & the Nashville Cats" exhibit opened at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Charlie was featured for his work on several Bob Dylan albums, and Charlie's Telecaster guitar was included in the displays. 

In August, the 40th Anniversary Volunteer Jam was held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, with one of the biggest lineups of talent in Jam history, from Lynyrd Skynyrd to The Oak Ridge Boys, Wynonna, Trace Adkins, Ted Nugent, The Kentucky Headhunters, Billy Dean and many MANY more.

The CDB Live At Billy Bob’s Texas is released on both CD and DVD.

Middle Tennessee State University's Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center is established to help student and non student veterans with their needs.

2016

Charlie's cowboy album, Night Hawk,' was released on his Blue Hat Records label.

In March, Charlie, Randy Travis, along with producer and music publishing and record label executive, Fred Fosterr are announced as 2016 Inductees to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

Charlie, Fred and Randy are formally inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016 with the Hall’s Medallion Ceremony. All three are originally from North Carolina. 

Charlie turns 80 years old on October 28.

Charlie performs in the opening of the 50th Annual CMA Awards show.

Charlie's birthday is celebrates his 80 year self with performances by Chris Stapleton, Kid Rock, Travis Tritt, Larry the Cable Guy and 3 Doors Down at BridgestoneArena in downtown Nashville on November 30, 3042

2017

Charlie and Mark “Oz” Geist’s rendition of Johnny Cash’s classic, “Ragged Old Flag,” is released.

Charlie's memoir, "Never Look at the Empty Seats" was released by W Publishing. Charlie had been writing for close to twenty years but never felt he had a place to end the book because he was still working and touring constantly, that was until the day he was inducted to the Country Music Hall of Fame. After that, he felt he had a place to at least take a pause in the story.

2018

Beau Weevils - Songs in the Key of E was released. This side project by Charlie, producer/drummer James Stroud, CDB bass player, Charlie Hayward and guitarist Billy Crain (brother of Tommy Crain) ended up being Charlie’s final album of new material. 

Charlie's book of daily words of wisdom, "Let's All Make the Day Count: The Everyday Wisdom of Charlie Daniels" was released.

Volunteer Jam XX: A Tribute to Charlie Daniels was held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. Guests included Travis Tritt, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alabama, Chris Young, Justin Moore, The Oak Ridge Boys and many more. The concert was shown on AXS TV and a double CD was released.

2019

A music video for Beau Weevils "Mexico Again" is released.

Charlie and band Shenandoah record the Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute song, "Free Bird in the Wind."

2020

The Nashville Predators announced a partnership with Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) to establish The Generals Fund to raise money for the MTSU Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center.

Charlie Daniels Jr. edits a fun "Quarantine Edition" music video for "Geechi Geechi Ya Ya Blues" from Beau Weevils "Songs in the Key of E"

ragically, Charlie went home on July 6, two days before his darling Hazel's 79th birthday.His funeral serve was carried on local television stations and live-streaming with Facebook Live reaching fans across the globe.


Charlie's charity, The Journey Home Project is re-branding The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project and the foundation continues to raise money for veterans sin need.

2021

The @Charlie Daniels Podcast debuted. CD, Jr. interviews those that knew CD best & artists who have been influenced by him including @John Rich Music, @Chris Young, @Ted Nugent, @Michael W. Smith Brad Arnold from @3 Doors Down and more.

Volunteer Jam: A Musical Salute to Charlie Daniels was held at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. Many special guests turned out to pay tribute to Charlie, including The Marshall Tucker Band, Travis Tritt, Chris Young, Ricky Skaggs, CeCe Winans, Michael W. Smith and many more.

Charlie posthumously receives Pandora's Billionaire award for over one BILLION streams on their platform.

2022

VolunteerJam 1-1974: The Legend Begins is released which comprises the bulk of the music performed by the CDB that night,. Two tracks from this historic concert were released on ‘Fire on the Mountain,’ this collection finally lets fans hear more of the night’s music. 

The CDB celebrates 50 years since Charlie started touring under the name, "The Charlie Daniels Band" starting back in 1972.

2023

Charlie posthumously received the ACM’s Merle Haggard Spirit Award. Charlie Jr. accepted the award on his father’s behalf.

2024

The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project continues and celebrates its ten-year anniversary. The 2024 Charlie Daniels Patriot Awards raise $400,000 for veterans-related causes.
